What We Believe

Core Beliefs

- The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, written by holy men under the guidance of the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16).
- There is one true, all-powerful, all-knowing, omnipresent God who reveals Himself as the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, and the Holy Spirit in comfort (1 Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:6).
- In Jesus Christ, all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily (Colossians 2:9).
- We believe in the death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ, and that His Spirit continues to be poured out to believers today (Acts 2:4, 38).
- Baptism is by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit is evidenced by speaking in tongues (Acts 2:38).
- We believe in divine healing through the atonement of Christ (Isaiah 53:5).
- We observe Holy Communion in remembrance of Christ's sacrifice (1 Corinthians 11:26).
- Tithing and offerings are essential acts of worship and obedience to God (Malachi 3:10).
- The church is the body of Christ, commissioned to preach the Gospel and operate in the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:1-11).
- The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live holy lives and minister as Jesus did (Acts 1:8).
- We anticipate the rapture of the church, the millennial reign of Christ, and His final judgment of humanity (Revelation 20:1-5).
- We look forward to a new heaven and earth, where Jesus will reign as King for eternity (Revelation 21:1-4).
- Salvation is a gift received through faith in Jesus Christ, not earned by works (Ephesians 2:8-9).
